About
Hi, I’m Soumi Ghosh, the creative heart behind Rainbow Art Studio. From my vibrant watercolours to expressive mixed-media pieces, my work is all about colour, emotion and storytelling.
Growing up in West Bengal, I was surrounded by rich visual traditions—from the rhythms of folk art to the bold designs of rural murals. These early impressions shaped how I see the world: full of layered textures, bold overlaps and unexpected palettes. I bring that sensibility into everything I do.
After formal art training (with projects ranging from illustration to contemporary fine art), I launched Rainbow Art Studio as a space to explore artistic freedom—where I could blend traditional techniques with experimental processes. Here, you'll find artworks that explore themes of identity, nature, femininity and the spaces in-between.
My practice is hands-on: I work primarily with acrylics, watercolours and ink on paper and canvas, often combining spontaneous marks with deliberate composition. Each piece starts from an intuitive place—whether a colour I’m drawn to or a feeling I want to capture—and evolves into something unexpected.
Beyond creating personal work, I also collaborate on commissions and projects: bespoke illustrations, mural work, design consultations and art prints. I believe art should be accessible and meaningful, so I’m happy to adapt my approach to meet a client’s vision or to reflect a unique story.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to explore my world of colour, form and imagination. If something resonates, I’d love to connect and see how we can bring your vision to life—or simply share the joy of art together.
Warmly,
Soumi
